New NEC DSX phone systems
are now in stock.
System features:
- Control unit cabinets are designated DSX-40,
DSX-80 and DSX-160, based on the maximum number of ports.
- With growth to 160 ports, the new NEC DSX is
perfectly suited for small to medium sized businesses that require large
business capabilities such as T1 and PRI.
- Additionally, DSX offers capabilities such as
built-in Caller ID and built-in 2-port auto attendant that are ideal for small
offices.
- The cost-effective IntraMail provides
sophisticated voicemail and automated attendant features previously available
only with expensive add-ons or costly external units. IntraMail includes call
answering features such as dial access to extensions, unique day, night, and
holiday answering, the ability for multiple companies to share the same phone
system, and the capability to dial employees by entering their names instead
of extension numbers. IntraMail also allows you to automatically place a
return call to the message sender, screen your incoming calls, forward a
message to a coworker, or send a call to a co-workers mailbox.
- You can program on-site from a phone or from a
PC connected to your LAN through a built-in Ethernet or USB port. PC remote
programming is available through the Ethernet port or an optional DSP-based
modem.
- Current DS-series phones will work with the
new systems.
- Some current DS-series circuit boards will
work with the new systems.
- The
92245 door intercom used with the older DS1000, will work with the new systems.
Phone features:
- All models feature the same thin, floating
design, two position angle adjustment for easy display viewing and button
tapping, built-in wall mounting, speakerphone, and large displays. Enhanced
versions also offer illuminated dial pads and backlit displays. All DSX corded
key telephones are available in black or white, and have 4-pin modular headset
jacks that can be live while the handset is on-hook.
- The 22-button display set features a large
3-line by 24 character display, four interactive soft keys and speakerphone.
- The 34-button display set is enhanced with a
back-lit LCD display and illuminated dial pad (for improved low light
viewing), as well as additional feature keys.
- An advanced model of the 34-button display
provides a full-duplex speakerphone.
- The 34-button super display set has all the
features of the advanced 34-button display set, but is enhanced with a
9-line-by-24 character display, and 12 interactive soft keys.
- The DSX cordless phone provides mobility and
flexibility away from the desk. It is similar to the current model 80863, with
four programmable feature keys; and will be available in black only. It does
not provide hands-free communications unless you use a headset.
