You can use either punchdown blocks or patch panels to make the connections to your NEC phone system. Patch panels are more expensive, but make it much easier to make changes, and to diagnose and eliminate problems.

  • NEC generally uses "PBX Language." AbleComm prefers to use "Key System Language."
  • What the NEC manuals call a "trunk," we call a line.
  • What the NEC manuals call an "extension," we call a phone.
